Accessibility
How we build Eave to be usable by everyone, the standard we hold ourselves to, and how to tell us when we fall short.
We build Eave to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and we report conformance at 2.1 AA. That covers colour contrast, text size, keyboard access, focus, motion, and never using colour alone to tell you something.
In September 2026 we rebuilt Eave's design system around this: every text colour re-checked for contrast, a minimum text size, larger tap targets, a visible focus ring everywhere, and support for reduced motion. This website had the same pass the same month. It's ongoing work, not a finished job, and there are places we haven't got to yet.
Email support@eavehome.app and tell us what you were trying to do. We'll reply within three business days. If you tell us about a barrier, we'll also tell you what we're doing about it and roughly when.
We can provide a conformance report (VPAT 2.5). Ask us at the same address.
We don't use accessibility overlay widgets. They don't fix underlying problems, and we'd rather do the work.
