What Eave reads, how AI processing works, and how to export or delete everything you own.
Eave is your home's memory, so it only reads what you give it access to, and your records stay yours. Here's exactly what that means.
Eave works with the things you connect or upload:
Nothing from a connected source is written to your home without you seeing a summary and confirming it.
Eave uses Google Gemini to read your receipts, documents, and photos and turn them into organized records. That's the only AI provider Eave uses. For some tasks — like checking an appliance for active recalls or researching local pros — Eave also runs a live Google Search to bring back current information.
If you import your device list from SmartThings, that connection uses a one-time token to read your devices and nothing is stored.
Everything you build in Eave is yours. You can download all of it at any time:
eave-export-YYYY-MM-DD.json — with your properties, spaces, projects, tasks, appliances, contractors, purchase records, documents, reminders, and more.Export is available at every tier, including Free.
You can delete your account whenever you want:
This removes your stored photos and cascades through everything tied to your home — projects, spaces, tasks, appliances, inventory, purchases, connected sources, and your sign-in itself. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone, so export your data first if you'd like to keep a copy.
Eave holds onto your records so your home's history is there when you need it — that's the whole point of a home's memory. Your data stays in your account until you remove it, either by deleting individual items or by deleting your account. Connected-source access (like Gmail) stays in place until you disconnect that source.
Common questions
No. Eave never asks for a store login. Retail purchases come from your order-confirmation emails through the Gmail connection, from receipt photos, or from an order-history file you export yourself.
No. You start each Gmail scan yourself, and you confirm each receipt before it's saved.
Yes. Use the data export in My Account first — it's a single downloadable file.
