Contractors and Hire It Out

Eave keeps your trusted people in one place and, when you want help finding someone new, does the research for you. Here's how contractors work and what happens when you choose the Hire It Out path.

Saving your own contractors

Your contractors live under Contractors in the sidebar. This is your own contact book, and it's a free feature.

• Add anyone you already work with: name, phone, email, specialty, and notes.
• Contractors are tied to you, not to a single property, so they carry across every home on your account.
• You can also import a pro from a service marketplace. Under Sources, paste a Thumbtack, Angi, Yelp, or Houzz profile URL and Eave will pull in the contact info, specialty, and ratings. No login is needed.

The Hire It Out path

Every project can be handled in the way that suits you. When you'd rather bring in a professional, choose Hire It Out on the project. From there Eave can run AI Vendor Research to find local pros for that specific job.

Vendor research looks at live search results for your area and your project's specialty, then hands you a short set of options to consider. Anyone you like can be saved straight into your Contractors list, so the next time the job comes up, they're already there.

AI Vendor Research is part of Eave Intelligence. If you're on the free plan, you'll see an upgrade prompt where vendor research would appear. Intelligence is $2.99/month or $24/year. The no-nag rules

Eave is your home's memory, not a salesperson. Two rules keep it calm:

• You'll never see more than 3 vendor options for a project. There's no endless scrolling list to wade through.
• Nothing is pushy. Vendor suggestions appear only where they're genuinely useful, and they never get in the way of saving or working on a project.
